Below are a few of the common acronyms used in the hiking world. I'm sure I will be continually adding to this list as I come across more, but these will get you started:
CA = Conservation Area
NA = Natural Area
SP = State Park
WA = Wilderness Area
TH = Trail Head
TOPO = Topographic Map
OT = Ozark Trail
MDC = Missouri Department of Conservation
